The lesson “Home Garden” teaches children about food cultivation and the process of having a home garden, including the steps to planting and the materials needed. The children will list 2-3 types of food harvested from a home garden and will be able to identify ways to help care for their home gardens if they have them. The lesson includes guided instructions for the teacher, including preparation, a script, and suggested activities to facilitate further learning in a fun and interactive manner. This lesson is designed for children between 3-5 years, and is the 22nd lesson in the 2nd Year “Where Does My Food Come From?” unit.
