The lesson “Local Natural Features” further teaches the children about their community and what surrounds them. Each child will name at least two characteristics of local natural features such as lakes, hills, streams, mountains, etc. The lesson includes guided instructions for the teacher, including preparation, a script, and suggested activities to facilitate further learning in a fun and interactive manner. This lesson is designed for children between 3-5 years, and is the 13th lesson in the 2nd Year “Understanding My Community” unit.
