The lesson “I Can Do Amazing Things with My Legs” is part 7 of a 42 part series on parts of the human body, health, and safety. This lesson teaches about the legs and the many things legs can do: run, jump, dance, play sports and so on. The lesson also includes information about large motor and fine motor skills. This resource includes a lesson plan for the teacher on how to prepare beforehand, class-time content to facilitate learning about the legs, hands-on activities facilitating further learning, and a teacher assessment at the end. This lesson is designed for a group of young children between the ages of 3 and 5, and is the seventh physical development lesson in the CoreCurriculum, 3-5 years, Year One.
