The lesson “I Can Run with My Legs and Feet” is part 17 of a 42 part series on parts of the human body, health, and safety. This lesson focuses on running forwards and backwards. This resource includes a lesson plan for the teacher on how to prepare beforehand, class-time content to facilitate learning, hands-on activities facilitating further learning, and a teacher assessment at the end. There is also an alternate activity suggested. This lesson is designed for a group of young children between the ages of 3 and 5, and is the seventeenth physical development lesson in the Core Curriculum, 3-5 years, Year One.
