The lesson “Encouraging Communication and Positive Interaction with Others” enables the mother/caregiver to compare and contrast the ways the typical child gains positive or negative attention. She will learn methods to encourage her child’s behavior to gain positive attention and identify the role of encouragement and praise in interactions with her child. She will also help her child use “I” statements to communicate needs for attention.
ForChildren.com, presented by Compassion International, offers ideas, learning opportunities and relationships to help equip people who work with children-at-risk.
