The lesson “I Can Take Care of the Latrine” is part 30 of a 42 part series on parts of the human body, health, and safety. This lesson focuses on the way food passes out of the body, and the importance of hand washing. This resource includes a lesson plan for the teacher on how to prepare beforehand, class-time content to facilitate learning, hands-on activities facilitating further learning, and a teacher assessment at the end. This lesson is designed for a group of young children between the ages of 3 and 5, and is the thirtieth physical development lesson in the Core Curriculum, 3-5 years,Year One.
