The lesson “Communication and Language Development for the 10-12 Month-old” teaches a caregiver how to engage her child to encourage language development. The varied techniques in the lesson include word repetition, object linkage, storybook reading, picture identification, slow and clear speech, hand gestures, facial expressions, etc. Specific age-appropriate progress measures are explained so that a caregiver understands what they are and when her child meets them.
